   - A tale of family struggles.

It was the seventieth Yuri of our counting when war waged on the lands of Jinhan. It was but 10 years after the passing of the great Jinhanian king Dynma, renowned for his glorious conquest and pacification of the Jibal outlands and the Sundra coast province.
While the king lay dying in his bed, submerged in an  irreversible coma, he had not yet named a successor. When king Dynma died, his sons Kyuno and Hatari were next in line. Of these two, Kyuno was the eldest and thus the rightful successor. However, he was wild and brusque, unfit to rule the lands. Hatari was more like his father, calm and rational.
The brothers fought over the throne and none dared interfere. If they sided with Kyuno, they would install a king unfit to rule, yet if they sided with Hatari, they would oppose the legitimate king of their realm.

With the imminent enemy invasion, Jinhan needed leadership. Since the dispute over the rulership was undecided, the king's archcouncilor had forged an agreement between the two brothers. Instead of one king, there would be two souvereigns, whose powers were dependent of each other. Thus they were forced to work together in ruling the land. Both souvereigns were assigned their own armies.
Alas, before long the brothers were at quarrel again. Kyuno wanted to conquer new territory, namely the Ooda bay from which they could assail the enemy fleet, but Hatari thought it best to unite the different factions in the land and prepare for the enemy invasion. As the brothers both went their own way, things went awry.

Meanwhile, Han invaded and wreaked havock. Province after province fell, citizens were brutally slaughtered, cities were pillaged, houses burned down. Soon, Han had conquered all but the two capital cities, Kyuno's Zazabal and Hatari's Yalla. As both Kyuno and Hatari saw their forces backed against the wall and the enemy troops setting up quarters before the great wall that was built around the two cities, they were overwhelmed with desperation. Hatari, wisest of the two overcame his pride and sent message to his brother, urging him to meet with him at the capitol hill. This is where king Dynma used to sign peace treaties.
The brothers met that very evening. Their meeting was cold and distant, yet they both knew they had to unite their forces. It was agreed upon that the royal guard, the elite remainder of both armies would do their best to do defend the great wall and stall the enemy. Meanwhile, Hatari sent a message to their cousin Nabudis, ruler of the lands that lay east of there. He was also in charge of the tactical oversight of the campaign. While he was brusque and untamed, Kyuno made an excellent general and led the forces along his brothers tactics.

In the end, through Hatari's cunning plans and his brother's valour and bravery bought them enough time. At the dawn of 27th day of their campaign, the army of Nabudis arrived at their aid. Together they defeated the Han forces, who cowardly fled back to the west.
That night, the two brothers and their cousin met on capitol hill again. Both of them thanked Nabudis for his swift assistance. With cordial laughter, he brushed it off by saying blood is thicker than water after all. After the brothers were finally alone, there was an awkard silence. Unexpectedly, Kyuno suddenly embraced his brother. "Hatari, never again let us be caught up in idle rivalry. We nearly got ourselves killed. You are my brother, I love you". He spoke with all sincerity his heart could find.
After the brothers had come to terms, Kyuno realized his brother would be more fit to rule the land. Instead, he became the head of the national garde. Jinhan once again began to flourish under the enlightened rule of King Hatari of Jinhan and the forceful fist of his brother's army. From the heavens, the dead King Dynma smiled down upon his sons below.
